Suffield Country Club's exciting Junior Program offer
lessons for
- Beginners
- Advance Beginners
- Intermediate Players.
- First Advanced Players.
- Team Players.
The schedule includes
- Twice-weekly matches
with neighboring Country
Clubs.
- Clinics on our three Har-Tru courts Monday to
Friday, at 12:15, 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm or 3:00 to 4:00 pm, depending on ability.
The groups are as follows:

Due to the shortened times of the SCC Team Practice, one or two days during each week will be available for an extra hour of "Play with the Pro's" time. This time is an opportunity to play competitive matches with the Pro's to improve the skill of singles and doubles match play. Times will be offered when the
program begins.
The Junior Program will be led for a fourth year by Tennis Pro
Russ Bombard, who brings many years
of teaching experience to the position, and Assistant Pros Dan
Presser and
Tim Judson, a former Jr. Program "student.".
In addition to Junior Clinics, Russ also offers Private
and Semi-Private Lessons on weekday mornings. These can be a valuable
complement to the instructions and group play offered during our afternoon
clinics! Sometimes a few lessons can make the difference in fixing some
"trouble spots" with developing strokes. See the signup board
for rates and please inquire with Russ if you have any questions.
The Juniors are taught in an encouraging, energetic program
which places a high priority on personal goals and sportsmanship. We provide them
with a strong background in the fundamentals of the game, from proper footwork to
ground strokes, while fostering their enjoyment of a sport that they can continue playing
for their entire lives.
Play begins Monday,
June 20th and runs until Friday, July 29th.
Matches
For Away Matches, all Team Members
(Advanced Group) should show up at the courts by 12:15
unless otherwise notified. On days of Away Matches, all
clinics will be held as regularly scheduled.
For Home Matches, all
Team Members (Advanced Group) should show up at the courts by 1:00
unless otherwise notified. On days of Home Matches, Beginner
and Advanced Beginner clinics will be held as regularly scheduled, while
Intermediate and First Advanced clinics will not be held.
