GolfThe Suffield Country Club was founded in 1927 and designed by Ian Smyth. Suffield Country Club is a par 72 course with a course rating of 69.9 and slope of 117 and a length of 6004 yards. Suffield Country Club forward tees have a par of 74 with a course rating of 72.1 and a slope 122 and a length of 5647 yards. Considering the low slope rating there are challenges thoughout the course, especially on and around the greens. Suffield Country Club is suitable for all levels of golf and a challenge for even the finest golfer.
The course has hosted qualifying for the CSGA amateur and various CWGA one day events. In the recent CSGA amateur qualifying the low score for a field of 72 was even par.
As opposed to public courses where tee times and waiting is the norm, Suffield Country Club is as easy as it gets. Rarely will you have to wait to tee off, even on weekend mornings. There are very few outside outings for which the course is closed. | |
